As I was driving into work this morning I noticed the leaves were starting to change. It is hard to believe we are already into the month of October. How quickly time flies!
Last week I spent my time in Omaha at an administrators retreat. We spent time learning about strategic planning and the heart of living as a Catholic administrator. It was time well spent in my hopes of continually improving St. Malachy School. Thank you for helping us work towards this goal.
We have many events and activities coming up please take note:
Friday, October 7th – Spirit day $1 and optional sack lunch day! We will provide milk.
October 12th- 7:30am – Picture Retakes – at Creston High School
Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th Holy Spirit Church will be holding two altar servers classes: Both will be held after Mass. Students must be in 4th grade or above to be a server.

CYC Registration has been moved up to November!

Professional Development Days
Teachers will be attending a 21st century learning conference and Diocesan professional development.
October 20th, 6pm – Come and represent your child’s class and find out about ways we can help St. Malachy grow.
The class with the highest percentage of attendance will receive a pizza party at the end of the school year.
Last week St. Malachy students in grades PK-8 were given the opportunity to choose our PTO shirt design for this school year. Students took a couple moments out of their class time to vote for their favorite design on our new Chromebooks and iPads. I am proud to display our design winner here. Mrs. Lora Pellman of As You Wish Designs will be making these shirts. You will be able to purchase these shirts at the Spaghetti Supper and also place orders at the supper and Parent Teacher Conferences.
May your family have a blessed weekend!
