This week our Kindergarten and Preschool classes went on a field trip to the Fire Station. They really enjoyed riding the Trolley and getting a tour of the station. The students asked excellent questions and had lots of good conversations about what they learned when they returned to the classroom. A big thank you to the Creston Fire Station for allowing our students to visit today!
Mrs. Meisenheimer tried a new effective teaching strategy this week. She made a game of questions about things that they learned about during their science unit. Students took turns drawing cards and deciding if the statement was true or false. After they made their decision they had to explain their reasoning. This is a fun and engaging way for students to study for a test and an excellent way for the teacher listen to the students share out their thinking.
