Well after a few technical difficulties the blog is finally posted! Having a snow day was pretty unexpected. I hope our students enjoyed the extra day of rest! The next few weeks are going to be pretty busy. We will end the month with Catholic Schools Week! We are excited to share with you all the great things we have planned. Please check your child’s folder for a detailed list of activities.
January 15 – Professional Development
We are starting to see some illnesses go through our school. Please remember a child must remain at home until at least 24 hours after they are free of fever, diarrhea, vomiting, severe cough/cold, or signs of a fever without the use of a fever-reducing medication.
As a reminder: It is very cold outside please make sure your child brings their hats, gloves, boots, coats etc. If the “feels like” and actual temperature are above zero students will go outside.
Seeking Donations for Newspaper Insert and Radio Commercials:
Our 8th grade class is writing articles for a twelve page insert in the Creston News Advertiser and our 6th grade class is preparing 15 second commercials to be broadcast 5 times each on KSIB radio. The insert will be distributed and the ads broadcast during Catholic Schools Week. The cost for the insert and ads will be approximately $1500. We need your help to fund these great pieces about our school. If you are interested in helping, please send all donations to Mrs. Lane at St. Malachy School.
